Flair-Plastic proudly participates in Operation Clean Sweep (OCS), committing to the comprehensive elimination of resin pellet, flake, and powder loss in our operations.
This is a challenging objective, yet we are fully aware of the potential harm that plastics can inflict on the natural environment. Committed to responsible management, Flair-Plastic ensures thorough handling of resin pellets.
A single kilogram of resin comprises approximately 40,000 pellets, and with Flair-Plastic utilizing around 30,000 tons of pellets annually, ensuring accountability for every pellet we use demands significant dedication.
One of our initial actions involved equipping every factory drain with steel mesh grids to block loose pellets from entering the aquatic ecosystem. We conduct weekly inspections of these drains to ensure they remain unobstructed. If a substantial amount of pellets is discovered, we promptly investigate to determine the source and implement corrective measures.
Our commitment to minimizing pellet loss is applied consistently across all our production facilities. We’ve ensured that the relevant employees at each site are thoroughly trained to understand the importance of handling plastic resins responsibly. Furthermore, we extend this training to external contractors, including drivers and distributors, to guarantee that environmentally sound practices are adhered to throughout our entire value chain.

Initiated in 1991, Operation Clean Sweep is a program overseen by the Plastics Industry Association and the American Chemistry Council. The program generates comprehensive reports, conducts audits, and issues guidelines for adopting best practices to prevent plastic materials from entering waterways. Globally, hundreds of plastics companies have committed to the Operation Clean Sweep pledge, aiming to eliminate the loss of resin pellets, flakes, and powders.
